Dear Enduring Joy Ministries Family,

We are excited to invite our church family to the EJM Family Zoo Adventure on Sunday, July 26. Immediately following our morning worship service, we will travel together to the zoo for an afternoon of fellowship, fun, and exploration.

During our visit, the children will participate in the EJM “Find the Word” Zoo Scavenger Hunt. Each child will receive a scavenger hunt activity sheet on the day of the trip. As they explore the zoo, they will search for animals whose names begin with the letters in a special faith-based word.

10:30 AM — Departure from the Church
We will leave immediately following worship service. Please be prepared to depart on time.

11:00 AM — Arrival at the Zoo

11:00 AM to 3:30 PM — Zoo Visit and Scavenger Hunt

3:30 PM — Departure from the Zoo
The van will pick up the group at the designated meeting location and return everyone to the church.

Please remember that we will leave on time. All participants should return to the designated meeting area before 3:30 PM so that no one delays the group’s departure.

Enduring Joy Ministries will provide a light lunch for all children attending the trip.

Adults will be responsible for bringing or purchasing their own lunch.

Parents should notify church leadership in advance of any food allergies, dietary restrictions, or other important concerns involving their children.

The safety and well-being of every child are very important to us. Although this is a church-sponsored outing, parents and guardians remain responsible for supervising their own children throughout the trip.

We are also asking every attending adult to be mindful and watchful of all the children in our group. Please help us create a safe and caring environment by:

• Keeping children within sight and ensuring they remain with the group.
• Helping younger children complete the scavenger hunt.
• Using the buddy system whenever possible.
• Making sure children do not wander away from the group or approach animal enclosures unsafely.
• Immediately notifying a church leader if a child becomes separated from the group.
• Encouraging children to follow the instructions of parents, church leaders, volunteers, zoo staff, and drivers.
• Showing patience, kindness, and Christ-like behavior toward one another and other zoo guests.

Working together will help ensure that every child has a safe, enjoyable, and memorable experience.

Please dress appropriately for the weather and wear comfortable walking shoes. Families are also encouraged to bring water, sunscreen, hats, and any personal items they may need during the day.

We are expecting to have a wonderful time as we enjoy God’s creation, strengthen our relationships, and watch our young EJM Explorers participate in the “Find the Word” Zoo Scavenger Hunt.

Our young explorers will receive their official scavenger hunt sheets at the zoo and search for animals connected to a special faith-based word. Look! Find! Learn! Grow in Faith!
